Production under the FADROMA brand was carried out since 1954.
One of Fadroma's first products were road rollers, production of which began in 1956. Seven years later, in 1963, the first wheel loader was manufactured. In the following years, the company developed the production of articulated wheel loaders for universal applications. In the early 1970s, mainly for KGHM in Lubin, manufacturing of mining loaders was started. From 1975 to 1985, in cooperation with Swedish manufacturers, FADROMA started manufacturing of articulated dump trucks. In the early 1990s, with the commercialization of the company, a major expansion of the product range took place. Several new models of mining loaders, a whole family of universal mini-loaders and loader-excavators were introduced at the time. Manufacturing of side forklifts and specialized machines was also started. At the same time, the production became more and more focused on mining machines.
Changes in the Polish political system significantly restricted access to eastern markets as a result of which the company was forced into a deep restructuring.
